Not that any death is not sad, but this one is particularly so. The obit reads that Som "died at home" and does not mention that he committed suicide. And you have to wonder why he took his own life - with that brilliant smile, a wife and two kids, respected member of the community, talented musician, writer for the local newspaper and social activist, you'd think there'd be plenty there to ground him. But by all accounts, he was a troubled man and on that particular day, it became too much for him.
